My past self did, indeed, treat his Future Self (me Now) this way. I remember “opportunities” that would have strained my schedule and energy that he passed on to focus on freedom and depth.
Same for the courage he showed saying YES to what was bold yet so right for me.
Awareness of our Future Self and being of service to them is core to Thriving. The “energy circuit” of doing something for “me tomorrow” or “me when I’m 88” is profound when that day arrives and you express gratitude “back in time.”
